La Demeure gets a makeover

This autumn, we undertook a major renovation to restore this character house to its former glory.

The work began by removing the plaster that had covered the façades. To our great satisfaction, we discovered, behind this superficial layer, a magnificent exposed stone that had been hidden for years.

Historically, rendering was a symbol of nobility, often used on stately homes to give them a refined, prestigious appearance. However, today’s renovation trends focus on highlighting original materials, particularly stone, which lends undeniable authenticity and charm to buildings.

So, by restoring the Demeure’s exposed stonework, we’ve managed to give it back its traditional Burgundy look. This transformation gives it an authentic and elegant character, perfectly in tune with current trends.
